WHAT WE DO
We fill the gap with practical support
When someone is dying, the help they need isn’t always available, affordable or able to start quickly enough. Mingary Care coordinates and funds short-term practical support through trusted local providers, businesses and suppliers.
Who we can support: People on the Sunshine Coast and in Gympie who are dying and have a prognosis of 12 months or less, and the people around them.
Support can include
Personal care, meals, cleaning and other help at home.
Equipment, medications, wound-care items and other essentials.
Transport, fuel, hospital parking and other help with getting to appointments.
Respite, bereavement counselling and practical help that eases some of the load.
