Your time can do a lot of good close to home
Across our Op Shops, on the road and behind the scenes, our volunteers help raise funds and do the practical work that makes Mingary Care’s support possible.
That work helps make hard days more manageable for people who are dying, and the people around them, on the Sunshine Coast and in Gympie.
There are plenty of ways to get involved, and you don’t need to know exactly where you fit before you get in touch. We’ll talk through what suits your interests, availability and what you’re comfortable doing.
It’s also a chance to be part of a local team, meet people and put your time and skills to good use.
There’s more than one way to volunteer
In our Op Shops
Help customers, sort and prepare donations, keep things tidy and welcoming, or lend an eye to displays and styling.
On the road
Help with collections, deliveries and moving donated goods between our shops.
Behind the scenes
Support administration, projects and practical tasks, or share a specialist skill when there’s a need.
Roles vary depending on the location, current needs and what you’re comfortable and able to do. Some volunteers also help across more than one area.
